Basic premise of film

The aim of the film is to capture the feeling of being overwhelmed and dizzy—like the line between reality and illusion is blurred—in the form of a "heat stroke." A struggling person will be navigating in a closed space, perhaps in a house or a room that's filled with harsh red or orange light. The layering of sound from heavy breathing, ventilation, repetitive noise becomes suffocating and almost unbearable. The person will crawl through this closed space and reach a door, that is opened by someone who looks just like the protagonist. As of now, I'm considering this ending to loop into the beginning of this film if played back to back.

I would like to focus more on storytelling through the interaction between the character and environment in this semester's film. I want the environment to affect the character, rather than it acting as a backdrop.

Genre: Drama

Elements in the film that make it a drama would be the struggle to overcome uncomfortable situation, dramatic & harsh lighting, suspenseful audio, observational camera POV.

Logline

A boy is trapped inside of a house on a suffocatingly hot summer day, he crawls through the rooms of his house only to discover another version of himself opening the door in front of him.
